July 4th on the Lawn!

Many came out to enjoy a summer evening on the lawn and celebrate America's Birthday! Thanks to Northern Code, everyone was able to enjoy a lot of great music. As they broke into "Born in the USA", I was taken back to the 80's and my time as an teen growing up in small town America! Although, I miss the USA from time to time, these guys brought a little bit of it to Okinawa and for that I am grateful! Stay in touch to catch their next show!

Yambaru Summer Concert Series

Please come out and celebrate America's Birthday with us! Special guests to perform will be "Northern Code." TEJAS.m.c Cafe will open at 6PM and the band will have two sets beginning a 7PM and ending at 10PM. Come visit the north for the Fourth and enjoy the music! There will be a cover charge. Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium

The Churaumi Aquarium is one of the largest in the world and it is here in Motobu, northern Okinawa. It is well worth the drive to the north as you can enjoy watching huge whale sharks and schools of tuna. Come out and spend the day at the aquarium and afterwards stop by TEJAS.m.c for margaritas!

Nakijin Gusuku Castle

Overlooking the sea and surrounded by nature the Nakijin Castle awaits your visit. Located in north Nago, the Castle Ruins bring introduces you to Okinawa's past history and culture. It is not far from Nago Expo.

Nago has some activities for you and your family to enjoy! One place to visit is the Nago Pineapple Park. Come and enjoy some time with nature and taste some delicious Nago Pineapple!

Get away to The Okuma Recreation Facility!

Come and visit northern Okinawa! The Okuma Recreation Facility is open to all SOFA and sponsored guests. It is my favorite place to unwind and just have fun! You can even stop by TEJAS.m.c Cafe for some Tex-Mex or better yet a Margarita! For more info on reservations at Okuma please call DSN 631-2300/1850.

Camp Schwab Fest 2009

It is that time of the year when all the bases are beginning their festivals and Camp Schwab's just gets better and better! It is scheduled for May 23rd and 24th. This year's headliner is Seether!!!
